Abaddon Incarnate - Pessimist
****
Filth ridden Grindcore from Ireland's best kept secret!
Having been churning out some of the best Grindcore since 1995, Abaddon Incarnate are well revered in the underground but still haven't got the recognition they deserve on the larger scale. 'Pessimist' is the band's fifth full length album as well as various EP's, split's etc. It's a great mix of Grind with a Crust finish. There are even touches of early Bolt Thrower style Death Metal. From the opening title track each song blazes into the next with a raw live sound the highlight is 'Fear', when they break into a mid pace riff that has Celtic Frost written all over it.
This band are awesome and if 'Morbid Epiphany' doesn't make you want to throw your pint in the air and start moshing in your front room nothing will!. The rest of the album blaze's by it's thirty five minutes of pure filth!. Each track stops between the two to three minute mark. Like any great Grindcore albums it goes in for the kill does the job and leaves you just as abruptly as it begins. It's half hour of pure adrenaline.
