Amigo the Devil hopes your husband dies!!!

Every now and then someone comes along with an edge of bravery in the way they write. Amigo the Devil is no exception. Real name Danny Kiranos born 1987 in Miami Florida has just released a new video for the single 'Hell and You' taken from his debut album 'Everything is Fine'. Think Johnny Cash with a dark side, he classes his music genre as Murder Folk.

This is mainly down to his background in Heavy Rock which pours through in his vocal. Each song begins just Amigo and his banjo then turns from folk into a captivating anthem the second he starts singing. The first time you hear Amigo you may question his sanity due to his controversial lyrics, but the longer you listen the more the song grabs you and you realise its brilliant. Each song builds as it goes along, drawing you in to listen to the entire track. Amigo the Devil is clearly a very talented musician and writer, makes you want to sing-a-long.

First impressions to a UK listening, dark Mumford and Sons with a touch of Damien Rice, purely by the way the songs are structured. His Rock voice in this genre works so well, especially with the slow songs. I can see this guy having long career writing like this. I have no doubt that the lyrics will put some people off but I think most people will love it.

Some of the songs will touch home with a lot of listeners and not necessarily for good reasons. 'Hope your husband Dies' is a great example where you listen to the words for the first time and question you heard him right but the more it goes on you realise it really great track. You can drift away listening, hard to pick a favourite song. I love 'Cocaine and Abel, Hope your husband Dies' and 'Hell and You', all so powerful you really feel every word.
