Asking Alexandria - Show that you don't have to be old to Rock!
****
The new breed of Metal show they can cut it with the big boys!
Asking Alexandria **** (Marquee 2) are taking the Metal scene by storm and today is another triumph for the band as they produce a classic set of Metalcore brilliance. Starting over in their native country Britain before moving over to the States where they were taken in straight away as a band to take notice of, they have gone from strength to strength winning awards all around the World.
This band have an edge of cool that is brought out in their performances. From the crazy 'Closure' that brings in with beat downs and precise guitar work to the catchy 'Breathless' off the popular album 'Reckless and Relentless'. This band have gone a long way since when they started all thoughs years ago and evolved from every album. Lead singer Danny Warsnop sounds better than they normally do with new song 'The Death of Me' of their new yet to be release album 'Death to Destiny' sounds brilliant. 'A Prophecy' and 'The Final Episode (let's change the Channel)'are simply Metalcore anthems and the way they command the stage and give the audience something to watch just works. The crowd is filled with the younger members of the festival showing that the nu skool is back.
If your a fan of bands such as Of mice & Men, Miss May I, Memphis May Fire and Motionless in White then Asking Alexandria are a Metalcore / Deathcore album that you just can't simply ignore. This band have one hell of a guitarists in the form of Ben Bruce and Cameron Liddell with a really great image to boot, so you can't ignore that they have some great anthem sounding songs. 2014 is going to be the year of Asking Alexandria so watch this space for more information on this great band.
