Attila ***** (West Stage) open up the day with their brand of Hip Hop / Metalcore with simplistic lyrics cleverly done. If you have written this band off because of some of their lyrical content then you have made a big mistake, this is a band with a lot to offer and over the day and even the weekend ended up to be one of my top picks. They have a steady riff ridden adrenaline fueled performance that ends up with the guitarist giving his guitar to a kid in the crowd. If you have not heard Attila before then you should listen to the track 'Middle fingers Up' which is a song that you just can't stop playing and their were plenty of middle fingers in the air when they played this at Vans.

Singer Chris "Fronz" Fronzak looks so cool in his studded cap and shades as he screams out every word of this anthem Esq. song like this was the last day on this Earth. This comes from their album 'About that Life' which I just can't stop listening to now! like follow up the steady riff chugging 'Hellraiser' which is a stylish pick explosion of pure force directed at the listener.

When 'Sex, Drugs and Violence' hits in with it's stormer of a heavy riff you wonder why more people haven't heard of Attila it is so heavy verging on traditional Death Metal in places before going back to Metalcore riff, they perform this with such determination to impress and go all out to make sure the big stage at the Alexandra Palace is all covered.

They really mix it up with the Raptastic title track of their last album 'About that Life' and the ever fast 'Payback' which is a great track for any band to end on. This is a band you must check out if you like Deathcore because you will love them, I am totally addicted to them now and already own all their albums. This is for fans of Motionless in White, HIMSA and Suicide Silence.
