Bad PollyAnna - Monsterous Child

Let's all make our own video's for this band!

I'm not familiar with Bad PollyAnna at all but I really like this album. On first listen I was not really that impressed but as I surfed the tracks my liking grew after every track I listen to. Track 3 the title track of the album 'Monstrous Child' it is a nice little chugger of a track and it get's the hips moving, whilst 'Liquid lover' had me directing videos in my head! My home made video would have underground rivers and large fans featured a lot in it and I think it would be fantastic. 'Where does it Hurt?' well all over really! Give me the shot please! I like the vocal on this album in fact I prefer this type of vocal to the ''I wanna sound like Mariah Carey'' brigade. It sounds honest and I like honesty. On we move to 'My Incubi' which has me indulging in a slow head swing whilst I write this.

When the track 'The Living Dead' comes on I find that now I'm standing up playing air bass. ''So numb as they watch their own decay....'' I'm still playing Air Bass to 'Chase the Demons..' but with more snarl, personally I prefer demons in my bed. They facilitate the creation more interesting dreams and a magical experiance. And finally 'Epilogue (Invisible Girl)' is the track I love the most, it has a Kate Bush feel to it. This song has a paired down charm I can liken to B/W photography, cut out the colours and focus on tone. All in all for a first exposure to Bad Pollyanna I like them! I look forward to seeing them live at some point and hearing new material.
