On Blackheath Festival - New festival in South East London!!!

Massive Attack and Frank Turner set to play Blackheath Common!

Blackheath is small suburb of South East London, not overly known for hosting some of the countries biggest music artists. Musically it would be eclipsed by it's near neighbour Greenwich housing the o2 within it's boundary. But sleepy Blackheath is making a stand of it's own this summer and inviting some of the biggest names around to play.

On Blackheath in partnership with John Lewis is a brand new music festival with a difference. An eclectic music line-up, immersive food experience, farmers market and much more will be on offer. On Blackheath will be taking place over the weekend of Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September 2014 on the historic green space of London’s Blackheath Common SE3. Headlining the event, and what will be both their only London festival shows this year, iconic music pioneers Massive Attack (Saturday) and Punk Folk Rocker Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls (Sunday). The second stage being curated by national radio DJ Gilles Peterson on the Saturday and independent label Heavenly Recordings on the Sunday.

There are a whole host of supporting artists too including Aloe Blacc and a Hot Chip DJ set on the Saturday. Sunday sees the Levellers and Athlete grace the stage amongst many more great artists.
