Bristol Summer Series - 2014 is going to be great with The Pogues and the Big Reunion!
Bristol Summer Series line-up is announced!
This summer Bristol will be dancing to new event on the Harbourside, taking place from the 26th to 27th of June it aims to bring some of the old favourites back to a new audience, all with a connection to the letter P it seems, sure that is coincidental though. Thursday 27th see the Irish legends The Pogues take the stage, known by most for their Christmas song 'Fairytale of New York' sung with the late Kirtsy MacColl which graces the airwaves from November every year. But for those that don't know there is a lot more to them than a Christmas tune, fronted by a man more famous for his teeth than his music, Shane MacGowan, they offer a blend of Punk with traditional Irish Folk sounds. From 'Dirty old Town' to 'Irish Rover' they should have the place dancing a jig all night long.
Friday 26th of June is a Pop day hosted by Big Reunion stars and will see Five, A1, 911, Damage, The Honeyz and Bewitched. The bands will be performing all the hits including 'Keep on Moving, Take on Me, Everybody get Up, Ghetto Romance. C'est La Vie, Bodyshakin, Love of a Lifetime, Slam dunk da Funk' and loads more big songs over the evening. This will be a great day for all the family to enjoy, with so many great acts to see.
