Cocksure - Will they 'Be Rich', after the new album is released?

The Chicago based duo of Christopher J. Connelly and Jason C. Novak bridge the gap between Wax Trax! Records era Industrial music, and the future sounds of mass corruption. Connelly's howling bark meets Novak's bone crushing rhythmic bite as Cocksure for their third outing, and the end result is their best effort yet. ‘Be Rich’ is an amorous, amoral nod to their past involvement in bands such as Revolting Cocks and Acumen Nation, irreverently, vehemently crotch-punched into the cutting edge of the current underground Industrial genre.

Cocksure will promote the release of ‘Be Rich’ with appearances at a series of Cold Waves festival events in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles in September. With Chicago as his backdrop, Chris Connelly has been a fixture in the city’s Industrial music scenefor over three decades, best known for his hand in such luminaries as Ministry, Revolting Cocks, Pigface and Killing Joke, as well as his own solo career. In addition to his musical fluidity, his memoir ‘Concrete, Bulletproof, Invisible and Fried: My life as A Revolting Cock’ bared his musical legacy from his beginnings in mid 80’s Scottish Post Punk / Dance outfit Finitribe through to his involvement in the bands mentioned above and his solo releases. Electronic maven Jason C. Novak has led acts including Acumen Nation and DJ? Acucrack, and runs the Cracknation label. He also founded the annual Cold Waves Festival.
