Conchita Wurst - The amazing one Is back at G-A-Y !!!
****
Conchita has all the Pride in the World!!!
Conchita Wurst **** is an amazing talent to the music scene and she a vision for us all with beautiful views and a spectacular personality to boot. She is today making her second ever performance at G-A-Y as a warm up for her Manchester Pride performance the day later. She opens her performance with her first Eurovision song 'That's what I Am' which sounds like a diva anthem meets a song from the 'Fifth Element' film soundtrack, this is a great song and I have no idea why it didn't do better than it did. They then performs a great version of one of her favourite Eurovision hits 'Everything' by Anna Vissi who go to the final with it for Greece in 2006. This is a song I never really thought much of myself but Conchita's version tonight made me see it in a new light and was far better than the original.
Then she went on to do a vocal performance that was so powerful for the song 'Unchain my Heart' originally recorded by Ray Charles and then made famous by Joe Cocker. The way she sings this song with confidence and a vocal range that is incredible really shows that Conchita Wurst is more than a one hit wonder ant she will be here for years and years. I can't wait to see her performing at her own concert, singing her own songs because it is going to be breathe taking.
But you are delighted even more because until then she breaks into a cover of one of her favourite songs 'Believe' by Cher you realise she is having a lot of fun today and loves every minute she spends at G-A-Y. This is another great rendition of this song but I reckon Conchita can do so much more, so is the lowest point, but I am so glad she is having fun and it's really nice seeing her fun... it puts a smile on my face every time I see it.
She leaves the stage with a bunch of flowers that Jeremy Joseph gives her and then he goes "Arn't you forgetting Something, a little thing called Eurovision and a certain song?", they joke for a minute and then she bursts into the last song of the performance. Her Eurovision winning song 'Rise like a Pheonix' which should be the anthem of 2014 because it's such an amazing track that sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it. Then Conchita is whisked into a car with Jeremy to start her long trip to Manchester for her Gay Pride performance on Sunday night.
