Crossfaith ***** (East Stage) are an export from Japan and they go really crazy today! with every member of the band jumping about. They are on a mission to impress and from the electronic intro of 'We are the Future' they are note perfect. They have really gone a long way since I first saw them at the London Underworld and the Nottingham Hit the Deck festival.

They have developed their own sound and know how to inject it onto a live stage. The song I just mentioned even has Dance / Dub-Step elements to it and they have worked the lights just right for them so they illuminate each band member as they do their solo's or the piece. They also have a great stage presence that is brought across to you in a very casual way.

It is very strange for the first two bands on to be so good and really set the bar for the other bands on the bill. Tamano Terufumi climbs on his keyboard and shows how daring the band is and the dramatics don't effect their electrifying set that Koie Kenta leads with his precise vocals. 'Monolith' off the 'Zion' EP sounds really big and epic and echo's round the walls of the venue and then comes back and hits you in the face like a razor blade. While 'Countdown to Hell' is a wall of sound ready for you to step through.

After all this intensity I think all everyone wants is a 'Jägerbomb' to get them back on their feet, but this fast paced song that stops and starts with screaming vocals is eclipsed by the next song 'Eclipse' which really stands out in the set. The new songs show how much the band have progressed and this song reminds me a lot of Pendulum and is very commercial you could even hear this on prime time radio like Radio 1, it has that kind of feel to it.

Simply brilliant stuff by the Japanese boys, this is a band that you don't want to miss when they are over here again. They end the set with another track off the 'Zion' EP the actual closer to the CD 'Leviathan' which has riffs in it that even Iron Maiden would be happy with. This is a band that just get's better and better and is one to watch in the future, they are a band that are going places.
