Women can Rock as hard as Men!!!

Hard Rock Hell

Crucified Barbara *** are an all Swedish Rock band that formed in Stockholm in 1998, these beauties though are different from the usual all girl Rock / Metal, these girls can actually put on a great show like Kittie but just not as heavy. This band have toured with some of the best bands in the business from Motorhead to Hardcore Superstar and have got already a great reputation for themselves.

Their is quite so anticipation for the bands performance, which is really disappointing. Not for the music they play or their on stage persona, but for the fact it is so dark you can't actually see anything. Everything is shapes and shadows and if I had paid to see this I would have been really annoyed. 'The Crucifier' is the first song up to the bat and is really good, taken from their 2012 album 'The Midnight Chase' this song starts with a drum beat before it get's down dark deep and dirty. They continue on with 'Play me Hard' something most of the guys in the audience would want to do to any member of the band before they lift you up with another song of this album 'Shut your Mouth' which is a big message to the bands doubters. Yes chicks can Rock sometimes as hard as guys do, so if you don't like that then don't listen to Crucified Barbara.

I wouldn't say though that Crucified Barbara is original, it's just Rock done is a furious way with attitude but for some people would still pull on the punches. Like track 'Sex Action' which bring the set to life and really makes an impression on you. Like Tairrie B Murphy of My Ruin, singer Mia Coldheart (Aka Mia Karlsson) can really wail and has a great vocal range. Single 'Rock me like the Devil' is as good as it always is and works very nice on the main stage at Hard Rock Hell.

The best moment of their set is when they play the Motorhead song 'Killed by Death' which is really heavy, but it's a little worrying when a cover is taking over your set. A band need to make their set stand out without covers and when you have a lull in your set eg. 'In distortion we Trust' and 'Go Roffe' it's just in general not a good thing. They end their set with the rocking 'Into the Fire' which is slightly memorable which is more than their set is because by later on, you have even forgot they played. I think this is because it was just too dark onstage for them and you didn't really get to see much, which is a real shame because this is a good Rock band. I will check them out again and hopefully I will have a different impression of them.
