Ctrl-Alt-Del - Are the next big Dance act!

March 8th 2014
London, Electrowerkz (Slimelights), UK

****

In the future this band will 'Destroy all Dance Floors'!

Ctrl-Alt-Del **** if you are into your Dance music and your World is rocked by acts like Skrillex and The Prodigy or even a little bit of Pendulum, then you can't do much wrong with giving Ctrl-Alt-Del a try. They mix up traditional Electronica and 90's Dance with Dub-Step in a way that is very currant and would really appeal to the youth of today.

I will admit that the live show is not quite one hundred percent yet, but this band has the potential to be banging at the heals of the big names I mentioned before and could be gracing the top of Dance festival bills in the next few years. They have also got the attention of big names in the cartoon World, with Disney using their song 'Cyborg 1996' for a sequence in one of their cartoons involving robots which is pretty cool in itself.

They open up the concert with 'Asaien' and '101' the later sounding like a Dance floor jumper that could give Scooter a run for their money, "Yes pick up the pace and get your jumpin' shoes on'. Yes this song has a great commercial appeal but it's tracks like 'No Destiny, No Fate, No Luck' that are going to bring your attention to how brilliant this act actually can be. I also think that they shouldn't be on this show today bottom of the bill in a small club in Angel and should be gracing the big stages at Creamfields or Gatecrasher. This is Dance music at it's best and you can see that on 'Cyborg 1996' which is already a big hit for the band with the track originally appearing on their 'Destroy all Dance Floors' EP.

If the right people hear this music you will see this band on the cover of Mix Mag very soon. This band really need a big laser projection light show with images behind them and a muddy field full of people off their tits. They get their first try at something like this at the Bearded Theory Festival this years which also features Mr. C of The Shamen a band I think Ctrl-Alt-Del have been influenced by. So if your going to this event make sure you don't miss them.

The Skrillex Esq. feel of 'Down and Down' is incredible and it's futuristic feel good feel makes you think of hot summer nights with your friends and is a possible anthem of 2014. The next track also has a similar feel but brings in elements of lines that could have been made by The Prodigy and a great live only extra of the Brian May (Queen) Esq. guitar sequence at the beginning played live by Paul Batchelor and is lifted out of the 'Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey' movie, this brings something totally new to the track.

The band say 'All things come to the End' and then they do, and we have all realised that this is a step forward for a band with a promising future and that we all want to hear more from. If you don't know Ctrl-Alt-Del then I advise you to pick up their last album '101' or one of their EP's you can't go wrong with 'Destroy all Dance Floors' or the 'Deletist' all of which are top Dance releases.
