Bringing some Metal to the Vans Warped tour!

Vans Warped Tour

The Defiled **** (Jagermeister Stage) are a strange edition the Vans Warped tour and would fit better on a more Metal orientated bill than what is presence on this bill today. They come out of London so this is like a hometown show to them, but these days the bands home has been more in America with them touring their so much with big name acts. The band that were crowned as 'Best new British Band' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods last year and have signed to Nuclear Blast got more pre-orders than Rob Zombie and Foo Fighters on the verge of the release of the new album and they have really excelled themselves with 'Daggers' which see's the band more catering for the American Metal. I think this is why previously mentioned tours over in the States have been such a big hit.

AVD stage presence is getting better and Vincent is crazy as always while Stitch D mixes up clean and heavy vocals. These clean vocals are a little monotonous on 'Call to Arms' but they make up for this with the brilliant 'Blood Sells' and 'Sleeper' which shows how they are progressing with the new material. When I first saw The Defiled supporting The Deathstars they had a great presence that emulated such bands as American head Charge and even Slipknot but now they have defined their own sound and gathering a big fan base.

I think this new found fame is going to turn The Defiled into house hold names so I am just anticipation how good they will get on their third album. Yes a little greedy when album number two 'Daggers' has only just come out. I think their new material has some elements of bands like Davey Suicide in it and maybe this is because the two bands toured the states together so if you like Metal music and bands like American head Charge, Slipknot or Rob Zombie then The Defiled are well worth checking out and I think you should purchase their second album 'Daggers'.
