Epica - Get ready for three hours of 'Retrospect' film footage!

Epica will release a special 'Retrospect' DVD!!! 

On March 23rd 2013 Dutch Symphonic Metal band Epica celebrated their 10th Anniversary with a special concert dubbed 'Retrospect'. Accompanying the band on stage for the unforgettable three hour best of set was the seventy piece extended Reményi Ede Chamber Orchestra and the Miskolc National Theatre Choir. The celebratory event was filmed for their forthcoming DVD titled 'Retrospect' and the band have just posted a track from the release up on YouTube.

The above footage looks amazing and this is bound to be a release that any fan of Symphonic Metal won't be able to ignore and is a must for any collection and it see's Epica at their best. 2014 is really going to be the year for this band, even though 2013 wasn't bad for them with having great festival and concert performances all over the globe.

Ten high-definition cameras captured the sold-out show while Epica played in front of nearly five thousand ecstatic fans. In addition to a collection of the band's biggest hits from their entire back catalogue, this once-in-a-lifetime spectacular also features the live debut of 'Twin Flames' and the previously unreleased 'Retrospect', covers of classics by Vivaldi, Pergolesi and Oscar winning film composer John Williams and two guest collaborations with Nightwish / Re-Vamp vocalist Floor Jansen and a very special performance of the band's breakthrough single 'Quietus' with founding members Jeroen Simons, Ad Sluijter and Yves Huts.
