A new Blondie has hit the scene

 Genevieve Heyward ***, a Lake Geneva native and top twenty American Idol finalist Genevieve Heyward grew up in Wisconsin and now lives in Nashville, where she continues to pursue her music career. Calm and collected on the red carpet, Genevieve​ carried herself with a cool confidence that matched her raspy voice and edgy style. When she took the stage, she delivered a strong performance of 'Breaking up with You', showing exactly why she earned a spot among the season’s top twenty contestants. She performed on American Idol in front of celebrity judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood.

Fans also got to see Genevieve’s playful side during the event. One fun fact she shared was her love of pickles. After her set, the team from 19 Recordings handed her a pickle covered in Da Bomb hot sauce. Although she looked a little hesitant at first, she took a bite and quickly realised just how hot it was. Still,  Genevieve laughed it off and kept the energy going, proving a little heat wasn’t going to slow her down.

With a style and attitude reminiscent of Blondie, she left fans with the impression of a true Rock 'n' Roll spirit. This locked in a lot of new fans at the CMA Fest Kickoff, and made people want to hear much more from her in the future.
