Godcaster - Release self-titled studio album on Vinyl

September 25th 2023
Album Release

Very Alternative and very interesting!!!.

New York's Godcaster will embark on a two month long tour this autumn October / November including dates supporting Model/Actriz. Earlier this year the sextet, known for their unique brand of maximalist and explosive live shows, reinvented their sound into a harder, more devastating form with the release of their self-titled magnum opus. Alongside news of the tour, Godcaster will be releasing their self/titled record on vinyl via Ramp Local on September 29th, 2023. If you have not heard Godcaster before, and you into experimental Alternative music... then we strongly advise you do so because they are very Alternative and very interesting.

Godcaster is a lambent pumping heart, hysterically keen like birds. The sextet of Judson Kolk (Vocals / Guitar), Bruce Ebersole (Guitar / Bass / Vocals / Keys), David McFaul (Vocals / Organ / Guitar), Von Kolk (Vocals / Guitar / Keys), Jan Fontana (Bass) and Ryan West (Drums / Percussion) explode in song with emotional heights and devastating passions, as if the most melancholic Beach Boys ballad was played at immeasurable volume. Founded by childhood friends Judson Kolk and Ebersole, the band traversed a variety of monikers, sounds and members over the years until 2018 when the band re-founded with the arrival of Mcfaul, Von Kolk and Pickard. Fontana, who had worked closely with the band in the past, joined a couple years later, thus solidifying the band's most refined and hard-hitting lineup to date. Godcaster has released one full length record and an EP, toured extensively, and is known for their epihanous maximalist live shows.
