Habitats - Tour on new EP 'Jungles'

Habitats take the UK tropical!!!

Habitats are a self-proclaimed tropical indie/alternative quartet from Hampshire, England. From recording early demos in a friend’s bedroom, to expanding their sound via the Tin Rooms in Shoreditch where they recorded the previous 'Diamond Days' EP, the band’s latest was concocted overseas at Waterfront Studios in Hudson, New York (The Charlatans, Tokyo Police Club).

Following a summer of festival appearances at The Great Escape supporting The Cribs, Kendal Calling, GoldCoast Ocean Fest and Boardmasters, the band embarked on a UK tour in October 2015, in support of the single ‘Boogie Waltzer’, which received coverage from the likes of Consequence of Sound, The 405, After Nyne, Impose and Clash Magazine.

'Jungles' will be released on the 12th of February via Decibel Collective, and the release will be supported by more dates across the UK including the bands biggest headline show to date at London's Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen for Parallel Lines. Having built a loyal fan base in London since the first EP, and with previous endeavours such a Shacklewell Arms launch show, a four date residency at the Old Blue Last, and a Sold Out!!! shows at the Sebright Arms and the Lexington.

Habitats have crafted a reputation for energetic live performances, which can finish with band members balancing on jubilant fans' shoulders and stage invasions. Armed with tropical beats and a slender groove, their sound and stage presence... is flirtatious and comic, which has an endearing charm to it. They relish the idea of not having a specific frontman, and with four separate personalities they all have the ability to bring their own characteristics to the band.
