Interpol will headline this years NME awards tour!!!

Interpol will headline this years NME awards tour in March and release a new album later this year. Interpol mark their highly anticipated return with the news that they will be headlining the NME awards tour 2014, one of the most important events in the music calendar. Kicking off at Glasgow’s o2 Academy on March 18th before travelling to Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham, Birmingham, Bristol and closing at London’s o2 Academy in Brixton on March 27th. The legendary New York group will be joined by Temples, Royal Blood and Circa Waves on this eight date tour of the UK. Kings of the Post-Punk revival, the incredible Interpol will perform tracks from their prestigious back catalogue, plus brand new tracks from their forthcoming fifth studio album, which will be released later this year.

We're pleased to say that we'll be headlining this year's NME awards tour. We had a great time playing the awards tour in 2003 and we're very much looking forward to our return. Tickets go on presale at 9am on Wednesday 22nd January via www.nme.com and are available on general sale from 9am on Friday 24 January.

The NME awards tour 2014 with Austin, Texas concludes two months of awe inspiring music events from the 2014 NME awards season, including the NME awards shows which kick off on the 3rd of February running up until the 25th of February at venues across London and the NME awards 2014 night on the 26th of February at London’s o2 Academy Brixton.

Interpol will release their fifth studio album later this year. Further details of the new album will be released shortly. The group’s last studio album 'Interpol' was released in 2010.
