JJ Grey and Mofro - Show Cornbury some cool!!!
***
A little bit of cool Blues for Cornbury!!!
JJ Grey and Mofro *** (Songbird Stage) an artist which I reviewed not too long ago. With his new album out ‘This River’ he starts to impress with new material from that album including the brilliant 'Somebody Else' which sets a very good chilled atmosphere to the days line-up and there are a lot of people digging the music he is producing.
He mixes up Blues and Country with old Soul and R&B along with a vibe that Huey Morgan (Fun lovin’ Criminals) would have been pleased with.
JJ Grey has the laid back cool and he is a multi talented instrumentalist that shows that he puts a new life in to instruments that make the vibe of Southern Blues or Rock. ’99 Shades of Crazy’ is what people should be going in the hot sun as he blinds you with his talent and techniques that come from times of old. I think you’re going to hear about this artist all the time in the next few years with a duet with Jools Holland bound to be on the cards when he hears about this artist, because I think that would work really well. Check Out! His album ‘This River’ is splendid with every track on it being a very high standard and catchy as well.
