Kylie Minogue - Stop me from Falling' Feat. Gente De Zona
*****
Don't stop re-inventing yourself Kylie
'Stop me from Falling' is The second release from Kylie Minogue’s number one album 'Golden', and is a really stand out track. 'Stop me from Falling' in its original genre had been released at the beginning of March before Kylie’s SOLD OUT!!! 'Golden' album launch across the UK and Europe. Yet with the album riding high at No.1 in the charts the nods at BMG go and do something ridiculous creative. They reboot the track with track being less Nashville and “Hello” South American, suddenly its off with the cowboy boots and the Stetson and on with the summery shimmery golden sandal’s.
Keeping to its original elements as featured on the album, the new version as had somewhat of a huge spray tan shimmer from Cuba to get summer 2018 started. This mainly with the thanks of Cuban Reggaeton duo, Gente De Zona whose previous success on Enrique Iglesias 2013 smash hit 'Bailando' earned the track three Latin Grammy awards. Now teaming alongside our 'Golden' girl, they have created something extra extraordinary. The track dropped this week alongside a sun-kissed video filmed in Havana, which you can view at the bottom of this page.
The opening scene featuring a cute Kylie as she giggled away on a date with a handsome gentleman as they laughed away in the restaurant, with the familiar opening chords of the 'Stop me from Falling' intro being strummed by yet another handsome man. An intrigued Minogue turn’s her head from her date to the man behind her with her face in sheer delight, it’s good bye dinner date and hello musician as she leaves her date in the cold and fast-forward to a date with the guitarist on the sunshine beach of South America.
Tongue and cheek at its best this is our Kylie finally putting her “finest manicured two fingers” up to anyone man who had crossed her. Just like 'Sexercize' which back in 2014 a video was dropped on the week of release of 'Kiss me Once' once an amazing video clip, in these two cases is married with a track which 'Stop me from Falling' had become slightly overshadowed by the sheer excellence of what 'Golden' has to offer.
With its three minutes of flirty Kylie, dancing Kylie, lots of guys, ladies, sunshine, beaches, beautiful backdrops and more costume changes to rival both 'Never too Late' and 'What do I have to Do' video clips. This track and video really has put the S-U-M-M-E-R into Summer and make you want to hit the bars and take it over as you park your backside on the counter and Mexican wave from the front to the back of the venue... perfect.
