Lost Society - Fast loud Death

(CD Album Review)

***

Promising Debut from hopeful Thrashers!!!

When Manicipal Waste came out a breed of cheap imitators followed, Re-hashed Thrash riffs, corney lyrics and get an old school artist who did a classic Thrash Metal front cover to do your album and your done, that with this current trend of retro bands which it seems to be the trend in music across the board. On the surface it's easy to dismiss, with Lost society as one of these bands but theirs a distinct difference. Their actually quite good for a new Thrash band!

Opener 'N.W.L' is a real stomper reminisint of classic Anthrax that you can't help but nod your head too, the lyrics humourous and politically correct. 'Bitch, out of my Way' and the title track are highlights, the represent the fun side of thrash, reminisent of Exodus 80's era theres also a Punk edge to them. To be frank this is the type of record we have been waiting for Suicidal Tendencies to come back with for years.

It's a enjoyable record with hooks and catchiness that wins you over, they are still  guilty of what I spoke off earlier, Bands need to be more forward thinking. I know its fun and the rest of it but the 70's and 80's were a long time ago! However this band are one of the better of their breed and they are all under twenty years old with their whole career ahead of them. The future looks looks far from lost!
