Lyronian - Are ready to deliver a 'Crisis' on the World!

Lyronian release new album 'Crisis' on the 31st of March!

An Electronic duo consisting of founder member Alex Warwick Kern and Mike Kennedy. ‘Crisis’ is the second full length Lyronian album and follows the 2009 release of ‘Side Scan’ and the mini album ‘Hope and Veneration’ a year later, both of which hit the upper echelons of the German Alternative charts and led to appearances at well known festivals such as Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig. 

It was the latter release that saw Kennedy’s introduction to the band. Discovering each other’s music through the internet and immediately recognising common ground, Kennedy was happy to cede vocal duties while Kern’s long term search for an emotionally connected musical co-author had reached a happy conclusion. Their partnership thus formed the ideal basis with which to give Lyronian further expression while maintaining the mood and style of the band’s previous music.

While generally happy to acknowledge a kinship with the European Dark Wave Electronic scene, the duo prefer not to align themselves to any specific audience or potential stereotype and feel that their blending of styles has resulted in their own unique musical direction. 

“We have always found it difficult to describe ourselves. Without having to quote far removed bands by way of comparison and get shoved into some particular ‘drawer’, we have defined and determined our own direction and musical style: we call it ‘New Sense’.” - Alex Warwick Kern (Lyronian)

While the music of Lyronian is a mixture of Synth Pop with elements of Goth, Electro, Trance and Rock, it is married to lyrical content that is often melancholic and dream like in nature yet retains a positive message. 

“Crisis is all around us, although subjective perception and sensed seriousness varies according to ingrained character traits and attitudes. Problems can sometimes be easily solved and their effects can be transformative. Every crisis hides an opportunity, which is emphasised by the tree on the album cover. Although there is a plague at its roots, the change to positive energy can be seen through its branches, transforming into light, strength and maturity.” - Lyronian
