Marco Mendoza - A Rock 'n' Roll sing-a-long!!!

February 21st 2018
London, Camden Underworld, UK

No one is too tired for a sing-a-long!!!

Marco Mendoza **** takes a break from his other project The Dead Daisies which features members of Guns 'n' Roses, Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy, and heads out on the road in support of his new album 'Viva la Rock' which he is extremely proud of. Heading around Europe with his own mini tour with a new band in tow Fabio Cerrone (Guitarist), Pino Liberti (Drums) and completing the line up with young Welsh guitarist Jack Davies, they have only played live together five times before.

Marco starts the gig with a feel good song 'Let the sun Shine' then 'Hey Baby, Letting Go, Look out for the Boys’, which are full Rock out Blues / Classic Rock tracks. There seemed to be some technical issues half way through the set, so Marco had the whole crowd singing John Lennon’s 'Give Peace a Chance' then onto snapping their fingers including me for roughly five minutes.

It was surreal experience and added to the good time feel of the show. ‘God bless the Child, Still in Me’ and a medley of Stevie Wonder's 'Higher Ground / Chinatown / Higher Ground'. Marco's set by this point is a sing-a-long extravaganza, and a really fun attraction.

Tonight is the sixth date of the European tour, and Marco states that he is already burnt out. But saying that he is at ease on stage exuding calmness, chatting with the crowd between songs and thanking them for being here as without their support there would be no music. Marco Mendoza is a veteran in his game, and tonight's set was really enjoyable... so I would look forward to seeing him again next time he plays.
