Movements - Shake up London!!!
*****
A gig to remember
Movements ***** Tonight American Post-Hardcore / Emo band Movements are headlining the SOLD OUT!!! Camden Assembly, London (Formerly The Barfly). This is the first time the band has hit the UK, And having listened to their album 'Feel Something' over the past few days I was hoping they would cut it live, and I was not disappointed.
Tonight is the bands first ever London gig and last night of their UK tour and I was surprised the energy the whole band had on stage, they all had great cemetry with each other which made them also relate with the audience. The show then got underway and within the first thirty seconds of the opening song 'Full Circle', the stage was mobbed by fans stage diving. This did not stop all through the concert, there simply was bodies flying everywhere all evening.
So much so Patrick Miranda the lead singer politely asked the fans keep on stage diving, but please keep an eye on not kicking the guitar/ bass effects pedals. Which must be hard to do in the narrow venue of the London, Camden Assembly, a venue name I can't use to saying. Popular songs in the bands set are 'Worst Wishes' and 'Colorblind', which lead the way in their set. I have to say I don't know the bands material that well, but next time I see them I will... because I am buying their album.
They finish their set with the single 'Deadly Dull', one of the bands most popular songs on YouTube. At the end of the gig the fans kept shouting one more song, Patrick said they have played every song and have no more. This up and coming band are ones to look out for and you must see them soon. Never have I been blown away by such a young band before, they were that good. It was fun, full of high energy and totally mental fans. Tonight was one of the best gigs I have seen so far this year. May they visit our shores again, and soon, for I will be the first in line.
