London quartet Mylar share a third single ahead of their debut EP 'Elsewhere' which comes out this Friday the 8th of April via Blue Flowers (Westerman, Nilüfer Yanya, Puma Blue) The new video for 'Trailblazer' is directed by Irene Calvo with the song built around an instinctive, sinister, walking bass line. 'Trailblazer' follows 'Blue Afternoon', and February’s debut single 'Plastic Champ', a song with a Beatrix Blaise video that examines masculinity’s unwritten rule to always keep up appearances: fake it till you make it.

“It made us think how easy and seductive it can be to follow people blindly. People who are extremely charismatic and who make you feel good by association yet aren’t necessarily very good. The song addresses someone in the wake of realising that you’ve been led on, while wondering if they still have a grip on you. The production has a kind of warped 2000's Disco Pop vibe which felt apt as that was a period that seems innocent by today’s standards.” - Mylar

Mylar’s 'Elsewhere' EP explores the universal vulnerabilities of their internal selves and those around them, surrounded by a world spinning at a different rate. The 'Elsewhere' EP was recorded and produced by Mylar in London and was mixed and mastered in Spain by Iñaki de las Cuevas and Julío Rodríguez Sangrador respectively. 'Trailblazer and the 'Elsewhere' are out now via Blue Flowers. After finishing a four week residency at Laylow earlier in the year the band have recently announced their EP launch at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington on the 4th of May, and tickets are selling fast... so get them now to avoid missing out.
