Nami - The Eternal light of the unconscious Mind

An interesting slice of Progressive Metal!

Andorra’s Progressive Metal band Nami are bringing out the follow up release to their debut album 'Fragile Alignments' The new offering, in the shape of 'The Eternal light of the unconscious Mind”, sees the band experimenting and expanding on their unique take of metal mayhem! The album as a whole fuses Death Metal with Raw Rock, and a bit of Prog Rock thrown in the mix.

The result is an awe inspiring slice of Power Metal. There’s no doubting the fantastic musicianship showcased by guitarists Ivan Marin and Filipe Baldaia. These guys smoothly switch from well constructed melodies, to down and out guitar shredding. Roger Andreu’s vocals are so adept he can turn from the growling death metal screams at the beginning of the opening track “The Beholders” to a beautifully melodic sound on tracks like 'Crimson Sky'. The outstanding track on the album for me is 'The Dream Eater', which incorporates all of the qualities mentioned above and as a surprising bonus, cleverly uses a saxophone in one section which, for whatever reason, really works. This CD definitely leaves you wanting more from this superb band.

The album is due for release on November 4th 2013
