Nick Hayward - Brings his band to 'This is the modern World'
Haircut one Hundred singer to play the hits at 'This is the modern World'!!!
Critically acclaimed Singer / Songwriter, Nick Heyward (Haircut one Hundred), brings his band on August the 5th to 'This is the modern World: the ultimate exhibition of The Jam and the Style Council memorabilia to celebrate his chart topping back catalogue and preview soon to be released new material written recorded during Covid lockdown. He will play this very special show at St. Peter's, with support from Lapels, who are an East Midlands based Indie Pop group who have been likened to Blur, Cast and The La's. Their latest single 'The Life and Times' has received glowing reviews and plays on 6 Music, making this an evening that is well worth getting a ticket for.
Creatively ambitious from the start, Nick Heyward began his career as the songwriter and frontman of Haircut one Hundred. Marrying Chic with The Monkees, they rode the post New Romantic Funk wave of the early 1980’s alongside Curiosity killed the Cat. The music burned brightly, but briefly. Following a string of top ten singles 'Fantastic Day', Love plus One, 'Favourite Shirts (Boy meets Girl)', 'Nobody's Fool', making the bands debut album 'Pelican West' go platinum. The follow up second album 'Paint and Paint' sadly didn't do as well, and a horific thing happened Haircut one Hundred parted ways. This is a show you will not want to miss, so get your Funk on and go get yourself tickets.
