Priest - Are back with an album you can't ignore

Are you being watched by Priest?

What happens when surveillance becomes routine, technology shapes identity, and the line between human and machine begins to disappear?. On 'Altered State Police', Swedish Dark Synth-Pop trio Priest expands the dystopian universe they've spent years building. Blending soaring Synth-Pop melodies with industrial electronics, cinematic production and flashes of '90s big beat, the album is their most ambitious and immersive work to date. Containing former members of Ghost, Priest have built a global following through millions of streams, praised international tours and acclaimed releases including 'New Flesh', 'Dark Pulse' and 'Body Machine'.

Beyond the music, the band has become known for exploring human-machine symbiosis, technological dependence and the promises - and dangers - of our increasingly connected future. Rather than a collection of standalone songs, 'Altered State Police' is designed to be experienced from beginning to end. Themes, questions and emotions reappear throughout the record, inviting listeners deeper into a world of dystopian cityscapes, political distrust and digital control. Drawing on memories, past experiences and ideas developed over more than a decade, the album unfolds like a psychological journey, where every song reveals another piece of the larger narrative.

With the title track serving as the album's emotional and thematic centrepiece, 'Altered State Police' offers a fresh perspective on the legacy of '90s Synth-Pop and big beat while remaining unmistakably Priest. Uncompromising, entirely Ai-free and written with the ambition of becoming a classic album, it balances infectious hooks with thought-provoking storytelling, proving that electronic music can be as emotionally resonant as it is relentlessly danceable.
