Sam Smith - Stay with Me (Shy FX Remix)

Another great remix is produced.

This is the new digital remix single by Brit Awards winner Sam Smith who this time teams up with English DJ / Producer Andre Williams (Shy FX) for a song that mixes up Jungle / Drum 'N' Bass and Reggae with the slick tones of Sam's voice. Shy Fx have been on the scene since 1992 and always work with interesting and known singers and what better person to work with than Sam Smith, and I think the combination is a perfect match. The song starts of slow paced and sounds like a song that has come out of the roots of Ska and is really beautiful before kicking it in Shy Fx style in a more Dance high temp remix way.

'Stay with Me' verges on Northern Soul, Funk and R&B and could have been produced years ago and the remix modernises the song and in my opinion brings it to life, sometimes in the song I think the mix could have been a little better with some instruments taking a too prominent place but it doesn't matter that much and is a song I track I think I will play over and over again. The vocals on the song are mesmorising and take you through a story of hurt break and the fact you want to be with someone you love for the rest of your life. I think this is bound to be one of the best songs on his upcoming album 'In the lonely Hour' which is bound to be one of the best albums of 2014. I think the singer from Bishops Stortford is really now becoming one of the best British singers to come out in years and I can't wait to hear more material from him in the future.
