Vamps release a double A-Side single!

Vamps (JPN) will release a double A-Side single 'Ahead / Replay' on July 3rd 2013 via Spinefarm Records, Their first release since moving to Universal Music / Delicious Deli Records!. Vamps also announce a UK headline show on October 7th as part of their Worldwide tour and a live viewing even to take place at Rich Mix cinema, Shoreditch, London on July 7th 2013.

Today Vamps (JPN), a Japanese Rock band formed by and featuring Hyde (L’Arc en Ciel) and K.A.Z (Oblivion Dust), have released a brand new double A-Side single, ‘Ahead / Replay’ via Spinefarm Records. The tracks featured on this worldwide digital release are accompanied by the videos. ‘Ahead’ is the tie-in single for the launch of Xperia UL, Sony’s new smartphone, where as ‘Replay’ is the primary theme for ‘Dark Labyrinth’, the newest installment for the hit smartphone application game.

In the five years since Vamps (JPN) first came together, they have released eight singles & two albums, as well as playing more than two hundred and fifty gigs both in Japan and overseas, including shows in North and South America, Europe and Asia. In addition the band’s second studio album ‘Beast’ released in July 2010. Ranked 4th on the South American charts, the first time a Japanese act has achieved such success.

Vamps (JPN) have also revealed that they will be embarking on an extensive worldwide tour in 2013 in partnership with Live Nation, the tour will hit Europe in late September Spain, France and Germany and then the UK on October 7th when the band will headline a show at the o2 Academy in London. An opening act will be confirmed shortly. Live viewing events which will have live broadcasts from the current Vamps live 2013 tour have been announced to take place in thirteen cities around the World, including in the US the UK screening will happen at Rich Mix cinema, Shoreditch, London on July 7th 2013 at 11am.

A ‘Best Of’ album 'Sex, Blood, Rock 'n' Roll' is set to be released in the autumn, and for this career spanning collection Vamps (JPN) are keen to define the band of today as much as the band of the past. The selected tracks will be re-recorded and re-mixed with a greater balance of English vocals added throughout.
