The Virginmarys **** are a Macclesfield Alternative Rock duo, that have been really impressive recently. After a successful Swedish tour at the beginning of this year, which everyone has been talking about. The Virginmarys are back and bringing their new songs from the critically acclaimed EP 'The Devil keeps Coming', to the live arena. On a massive thirteen date tour, which went all across the UK and included shows in Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham and of course London at a venue in Hoxton called Colours... and this is where I managed to catch them. So the show was a great celebration of their biggest hits, and a chance from them to introduce their new songs live to their fans.

I’ve seen The Virginmarys several times before, and their music and their shows has never disappointed me. The duo start their set at the Colours in Hoxton with the infamous track 'The Meds', which is taken from their latest EP. They come out with a real determination to impress, and this really comes out in the next few live tracks 'Thousand Times' and 'Dead man’s Shoes', you can immediately feel the intention the band have to making their London show the best show that they can.

Ally and Danny have real energy on stage, and the band transfer this to their fans who are all having a great time from the start to end. Maybe the crowd in London is not the warmest tonight, but when I look around I can see pretty much everyone singing their songs. The duo are really on fire and without a single break, they jump from one hit to another. From hits like 'Running for my Life' to 'Motherless Land' to  the brilliant 'You’re a Killer' and not to mention live favourite 'Devils keep Coming'... the last two - both taken from their latest EP. The show finishes with 'Look out for my Brother' and the explosive 'Bang, Bang, Bang',  over one hour of pure live Rock music. …and to use Ally and Danny’s words: #PeaceLoveTruthMusic to all!.
