Blur - To headline Hyde Park!!!
Blur announce they are coming back to Hyde Park!
As the only artists to play London, Hyde Park four times, Blur will make a welcome return to the historic park which has hosted the likes of the Rolling Stones, Queen and even Madonna for a headline show on Saturday the 20th of June. Since announcing their arrival with debut album 'Leisure' in 1991, Blur went on to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with five successive UK No.1 albums 'Parklife, The Great Escape, Blur, 13' and 'Think Tank' helping to propel the band to mass popularity at home and abroad.
One of the biggest British bands of the last two decades and near enough creating the Brit-Pop genre, Blur have released seven studio albums and collected ten NME awards, six Q awards, five Brit awards and an Ivor Novello award, and played live to thousands of devoted fans across the globe. Their seems to be no stopping this band and this is bound to be one of the hottest tickets of the Summer so get your tickets quickly, it's bound to be a Sell Out!!!.
The event is part of the British Summer Time series last year included headline sets from Arcade Fire, Black Sabbath, The Libertines, McBusted, Neil Young and Crazy Horse and Tom Jones. Also on the bills in 2014 where other great bands including Jake Bugg, Wildbeasts, Soundgarden, Faith no More, Motorhead, Soulfly, The Pogues, Spirizualized, Maximo Park, The Enemy, Graham Coxon (of Blur), The Backstreet Boys, The Vamps, Scouting for Girls, The National, Tom Odell, Boyzone, Little Mix and 10cc. The 2015 line-up is already shaping up and includes headliners The Who, Kylie Minogue, Taylor Swift and of course Blur. Other acts already announced for the bills include Paul Weller, Kaiser Cheifs, Johnny Marr, Grace Jones, Chic Feat. Nile Rodgers, Ellie Goulding and John Newman with more artists to be announced shortly, so it seems like it's going to be another great year for British Summer Time.
