Arrows of Love - Crazy Grungers impress at Truck!
he best sleaze Grunge act since Hole!
Arrows of Love ***** (Truck Stage) I have heard so much about Arrows of Love from friends but sometimes seeing is believing and I saw a show that really grabbed me in and a band that excuse me saying give a flying F**k about the music and expression of it and can bring it into their live performance like not many bands can do.
Just ask the people at the Rapture merchandise stall, because seconds after their performance all the merchandise is snapped up in record time / quickness with people just seeming not wanting to miss out on getting their material to take away. Some of the 7' and Promo CD's are almost Sold Out so it is a wise move to get them while you can, because I see them going on eBay in the future for big money.
What I like about Arrows of Love is the way they work as a unit even though the stage is frantic and the music is a Grunge of 90's sounding guitars with a hint of Indie draped with a tapping of the Jesus and Mary Chain. Their is Hole tendencies to a lot of their performance and you wonder why not many bands are doing this sound anymore. It is a real breathe of fresh air and is a tingling delight to your ear buds.
This is Punk how Punk is meant to be a barrage of multi instrumental mental chaos with everyone putting the two cents in. The stage is a covered in tragic angst with them playing great tracks 'Honey' and 'Pretend Friend' better than they have ever done before. These two songs are bound to be future cult favourites. Along with slower track 'The Knife' is very impressive and has moody tendencies to it that come from a dark place.
This is a band that can't be ignored and I am really looking forward to seeing them live again and buying all their releases, they have got a fan for life here and I would advise you to go to see them in a small venue because this band are going to be massive. This is one band you must watch!!!
