Pet Needs take advantage of their chance
(Bearded Theory Festival - Pallet Stage)

Pet Needs ***2/3 The Essex band Pet Needs, seem to be everywhere at the moment. And they already played on Wednesday and impressing the organisers, get to play again on the Saturday. Which is a great opportunity for them, and they really do make the most of it. You really can't escape the Pet Needs train, it is coming at you fast. So when Divorce pulled out of the festival, Pet Needs saw an opportunity to perform to you again, and we are glad they did because we did not see their other set.

If you have not heard Pet Needs before, they are back to basic Punk attitude with Indie esq vibe. They fit in with bands like Idles, which have been making it big at the moment. They also have elements of bands like The King Blues, The Paddingtons, The Hollyways and Larrikin Love. They have that DIY vibe to them, and they have an attitude of being in your face.

I have to admit I had not listened to a lot of tracks by Pet Needs, but moments that seemed to stand out were 'Seperation Anixety', the foul thought of 'Tacey Emin's Bed' and 'Toothpaste'. All of which show that the band have some great material. So have a listen to Pet Needs, and let us know what you think.
