Nate Smith - Heartfelt and rugged !!!
****
Bringing you a nice interlude on Day three!!!
(Rock the South - Festival - Day 3)
Nate Smith **** was.born and raised in Paradise, California, Smith was introduced to performing music by his church youth leader and cites Garth Brooks, Tom Petty, and Fleetwood Mac as his early influences. After moving to Nashville at age twenty three, he signed a record deal with Word Records and a publishing deal with Centricity Music.A down to earth man who gives off the persona of being real and true to himself and his country. Nate Smith really is the right kind of singer, to have on the bill with Eric Church. He believes in living his life, and putting all his heart and feelings into his music. And if that has a little praise to America, mixed in then that's a great thing.
And you can really see that, because as he opens into opener 'Bulletproof'. You are already feeling him, and relating to his material. It is very strange he doesn't play his viral song 'Wildfire', which took TikTok by storm over four years ago. But that might just show, how good his new material is. That he could leave out a hit like that, and still captivate the audience at Rock the South festival. Because he must be, because as his set goes on. The crowd get's bigger and bigger, with people wanting to make sure they check out his set. Also it's funny he didn't play 'Wildfire', because he has even slipped a Foo Fighters cover into the set in the form of 'My Hero'. And I really think Nate Smith is starting to by a Country hero to many now, is he one of you're heoes yet. Not quite one of mine, but in time he might be.
'If I could stop loving You' off his debut self-titled record, is a highlight in his set. As well as 'Wish I never Felt', I really do think the songs with real feeling. Are where Nate Smith shines the most, and they appeal to the women in the audience. Who just want a man to treat them right, as well as the men. Who like a man who can open up with their feelings, because it helps them to do so as well. So by the time he finishes his set with his scorching hit single 'World on Fire', you know he has got a few new fans. And has got you ready for Eric Church, who headlined the festival at the end of the evening.
