Rae Boyd ***1/2 hailing from Frederick, Maryland, Rae Boyd’s path to American Idol sounds like something straight out of a movie. She was discovered by an American Idol producer while singing in an empty bar inside the Conrad Hotel in Las Vegas. Rae auditioned and made the top eleven finalists! Since then, Rae has been turning heads with her powerhouse vocals, larger-than-life personality, and undeniable stage presence.

At the CMA Fest Kickoff event, Rae hit the red carpet looking every bit the rising star in a short denim dress, silver accessories, cowgirl boots, and stylish rhinestone pink-tinted sunglasses. She later wowed the crowd with performances of 'MacArthur Park', 'Love will lead you Back', 'Up to the Mountain', and 'Respect'.

After her set, the 19 Recordings team challenged her to take on the infamous Da Bomb hot sauce challenge with a chicken strip. Rae accepted without hesitation. Even after dramatically falling to the stage from the heat, she jumped right back up, grabbed the microphone, and belted out more of 'Respect', proving she could still bring down the house.
