Extreme announce 'Pornograffitti Live' UK tour!

Rock legends Extreme have announced that they will be playing four UK shows as part of their ‘Pornograffitti Live’ tour. The shows will see the band visit Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and London this Summer. They will perform in full their multi platinum, top ten album ‘Pornograffitti’, in its entirety including number one hit ballad ‘More than Words’ followed up by a greatest hits set. 

Grammy nominated Extreme, one of the most successful Rock acts of the 1980's and early 1990's, have sold over ten million albums Worldwide. They have released six studio albums, plus a greatest hits set and a recent live DVD since their formation in 1985. The band had initially described their music as ‘Funky Metal’, but it would evolve much more in the mid 90's by blending Classic Rock influences with Post-Grunge and Alternative Rock. 

'Pornograffitti' Aka 'Extreme 2' was released in 1990 that's almost twenty four years ago and was an album full of successful singles including 'Decadence Dance, Get the Funk Out, Hole Hearted, Song for Love' and the mega hit 'More than Words' all of which were Rock anthems of the 90's. Their were many different versions of 'Get the Funk Out' some ruder than offers and 'More than Words' has been covered by so many different bands with Westlife even having a hit with the song.

Extreme really brought something different to the music scene and were a massive influence for bands at the time and even now. I think 'Pornograffitti' is a definitive Rock album that everyone should have in their collection, so it will be great to hear the album in it's entirety live, and for a lot of people this will be their first chance to hear this because they were not old enough to go to the show at the time and for others it's always good to take a trip into your past.
